Westminster is an obvious choice if you’re visiting for the sights, but it works well as a base beyond that too. Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, and St James’s Park are all within easy reach, and the transport links are some of the best in central London. It’s not the most characterful neighbourhood to stay in, but the location is hard to argue with. If you’re only in the city for a few days and want to cover a lot of ground, staying here removes a lot of the travel time.
